Denise McClellan, Director of Adult Ministries at Desert Cross Lutheran Church in Tempe, has issued an invitation to Spirit of Hope members to join with all of the Grand Canyon Synod Congregation on Friday and Saturday, January 13 and 14, 2017, for the Reformation 500 Retreat. It’s a great way to begin the year celebrating the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation!
Bishop Emeritus Mark Hanson will be guest speaker, exploring the question, “What’s great about being a Lutheran?” A gifted speaker, he will challenge and bless all with his talk.
Friday evening will feature a presentation, dessert, and Vespers. Saturday morning will feature a continental breakfast, presentations, and Closing Worship. Cost of the retreat is $15 per person.
