Perhaps you know someone in need of a home. Or perhaps you are in need of a home yourself, and you or the other person might qualify for assistance through the Housing Choice Voucher Program. The City of Mesa now has applications available for the waiting list, the first time since the spring of 2013, and it will only be open for 3 days in October.
We have attached here the applications for the program – in English and in Spanish. Please use or distribute the applications as appropriate. This is the federal government’s major program for assisting very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market. Since housing assistance is provided on behalf of the family or individual, participants are able to find their own housing, including single-family homes, townhouses, and apartments.
