Jump Start (formerly called Sunday School)

Jump Start --- Giving Children and Families a "Jump Start" on God!

You may have noticed that Sunday School and Family Fun Activities are now being called JUMP START! The Jump Start committee has a lot of fun planned for our families and kids during the 2010 - 11 year and we hope that you decide to join in all the action! You won’t want to miss a moment of this new Jump Start adventure!

Jump Start Sunday education is for children preschool (3 - 4 yrs.) through the 8th grade. We welcome older siblings and family members to join in the fun by volunteering! Please contact Pastor Sondra at 480 396-8300 or pastorsondra@spiritofhopelutheran.com if you have any questions or would like to volunteer and are not sure how to get started.

Jump Start Signup

Please fill out the Jump Start registration (below) for your child. Be sure to include your phone number and e-mail address. We are going to be sending out reminders and dates of activities through e-mail on a regular basis and we do not want you to miss a moment of the fun! Or you can fill out a registration form in the narthex and place it in the basket under the Jump Start poster.

Volunteering

We would love to have some volunteers who would teach, be assistants/helpers, etc. Notify Brenda Barta or Pastor Sondra if you can help.

Jump Start Rally Sunday

Jump Start will begin with Rally Day on Sunday, September 12th from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Kids will participate in a Rally Day Celebration in the sanctuary. Parents will meet with the Jump Start volunteers to learn about the exciting new curriculum and events.

Important Notice: We will also offer Jump Start at the Saturday evening service. Children should attend the 5:00 pm Saturday service with their parents. The children will be excused after Communion to attend Jump Start.

Jump Start meets at 10:00 am on Sunday mornings. We have classes for the following:

3 year olds
PreK - Kindergarten
1st - 2nd grade
3rd - 4th grade
5th - 6th grade
7th - 8th grade

Important Dates

September 12: Rally Sunday

September 19, 26 & October 3: Jump Start classes will be divided by age groups and will rotate through the schedule on an exciting journey through The Ten Commandments.

October 10: Special Sunday Funday with games, videos and more!

October 11 - 15: Fall break

October 17: No Jump Start Sunday education

October 24 & October 31: Jump Start classes will be divided by age groups and will rotate through the schedule on a study of Rachel.

November 7, 14 & 21: Jump Start classes will be divided by age groups and will rotate through the schedule on a study of David.

November 28: Thanksgiving. No Jump Start

December 5, 12 & 18: Christmas Program Practice

December 19: Christmas Program Practice at 10:00 am

December 26: Christmas Program
