Glen Stadler - Pastor

I arrived here in January 1999 to develop a new congregation which is now named Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church. You might have seen me wandering in your neighborhood, going door to door, inviting people to worship.  I enjoy these new encounters with people and am thankful that God has graciously allowed me to be a part of this exciting new venture.

I completed my undergraduate work at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and later received my Master of Divinity Degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Prior to my arrival in Arizona, I served in congregations in Noonan, North Dakota (1978-80), Greenbush, Minnesota (1980-87), and Pelican Rapids,
Minnesota (1987-1998).

My wife, Lee, and I have two children. Our older daughter, Sarah, is married to Ben.  Sarah is the pastor at Grace Lutheran Church in downtown Phoenix. Her congregation has functioned as our link to the homeless population in our area. Our younger daughter, Mindy is a Physician's Assistant in a dermatology office in Phoenix.

We are excited about being a part of the Mesa community and are grateful that we can be of assistance to those who are in emotional, spiritual, or physical need. We have learned that if we let God direct our lives, it will unfold in a way that brings everything necessary to our spiritual and physical well being. We invite you to let us impart faith and hope to you in our new Spirit of Hope community. Please accept our invitation and get to know us.

I
have been an educator and children's practitioner since the 1980's.  I have been a Christian preschool teacher for over 12 years in Arizona.  I have also served as a School Director.  I believe that it's my ministry to teach the Word of God to children and create a strong Christian foundation for them to build their lives upon.

I work as a preschool teacher for Noah's Ark Preschool and Kindergarten at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mesa.  I am a mother of three, and grandmother of four.
